DEFENDANTS SETTLE WITH VICTIM OF CHAIN REACTION COLLISION FOR $425K

RB was injured when he sustained multiple impacts to his vehicle in a chain reaction collision. One of the defendants had been "tailgating" RB when he suddenly noticed the car in front of him brake hard and come to a stop because of a disabled vehicle that had stopped immediately in front of his without putting its flashers on. As RB was "rear ended" by the tail gater, he was forced into the vehicle stopped directly in front of him.

As a result of the jolt to the rear of his vehicle, a toolbox that had been anchored to the floor of his van came loose and was hurled into the driver’s sear causing him additional trauma. As a result of the multiple impacts to both his vehicle and his seat, Mr. B was rendered unconscious after he sustained multiple injuries.

Norm Hobbie and Dave Corrigan pursued multiple theories of liability against the various defendants, which resulted in a substantial award for RB.
