FATALLY-INJURED CONSTRUCTION WORKER'S THREE-YEAR-OLD SON RECEIVES MULTI-MILLION SETTLEMENT STRUCTURE*

Norm Hobbie and Dave Corrigan represented The Estate of T.L. who sustained fatal injuries in a tragic construction accident  when he fell at the job site. T.L. left behind a young son, C.L., who was only one year old at the time of his father's death. Recently, young C.L. celebrated his third birthday.

The tragic accident occurred at a construction site located in South Brunswick where T.L. was installing a roof deck when he fell 36 feet to his death. The complaint alleged, among other things, that contractors at the site failed to provide the appropriate safety equipment  (safety nets for example). Norm negotiated a structured settlement that includes monthly payments of $2000.00 to C.L. until he turns 18. C.L. will then receive monthly payments from age 18 until he turns 60, along with several lump sum payments.

Scott Tashjy pursued a companion worker's compensation action of the benefit of C.L. turns 18.  If C.L. attends college full time, the payments will continue until age 23.

* The structured settlement has a present value of $750,000
