Complex Personal Injury/Auto Negligence

UP TO $3 MILLION AWARDED TO EX-TROOPER

A former state trooper and his wife will receive a settlement valued between $2M and $3M for injuries he sustained in an automobile accident. The settlement occurred after Norman Hobbie finished his closing argument at trial, just before the jury was to begin deliberation in the case, which Norm tried with Dave Corrigan in Monmouth County.

SW, 46, who was on duty, was injured while he was stopped at a red light and rear-ended by a truck. Immediately, after the accident, SW began suffering from blurry visions, and neck and back pain. He also began to suffer from server short-term memory loss, which ultimately caused him to take a disability retirement from the State police department. Norm told the jury that no amount of money could ever compensate SW for the loss of enjoyment that he endured, and the loss of his career, which he cherished so much

Mr. And Mrs. W will receive an initial payment of $1.25M, monthly payments of $3,250 beginning in September, and four additional lump sum payments in future years. The entire settlement is tax-free.
